Consultation on Lee Predictive Floodmaps
Predictive floodmaps are a key output of the Lee CFRAM Study. The flood maps represent all areas that are likely to be inundated at some point during a flood event (caused by either river overtopping or tidal overtopping). These maps are derived using information from detailed hydrological analysis and numerical hydraulic river/estuary models.
The maps are available in draft format for consultation until the 30th April 2010. The maps are available on this website and in hard copy at the following Cork City Council and Cork County Council Offices throughout the Lee catchment (Cork City Hall Foyer, Cork County Hall, Midleton Town Council Offices, Macroom Town Council Offices and Carrigaline Area Engineer's Offices)
Please spend some time looking through the maps – particularly areas you know or where you have seen flooding – and send us any comments you may have: how they look, how understandable they are, etc.
